As a bisexual, it sickens me that some people WILL keep scrolling.
As the straight daughter of a gay man, it sickens me that some people will keep scrolling.
As a straight girl with a basic understanding of equality and love, it also sickens me that people will keep scrolling.
I’m reblogging just to say this: As a bisexual female, this is your reminder that whether or not you reblog a useless tumblr post doesn’t actually determine whether you’re “homophobic” or support marriage equality. You choose what goes on your dash, and I know a lot of lgbt people have scrolled past this, which doesn’t actually make them homophobic at all. For the love of fuck, stop using our sexuality as a means to gain notes or spread stupid-ass chain mail. Stop manipulating people into feeling guilty or “homophobic” for not promoting your blog on theirs. (Still though, if you ARE actually homophobic then you’re not welcome on my blog and please unfollow me and leave).
“I’m finally going to write! I have a great idea!”
LAUGHS LOUDLY
This is why I always start with the most basic outline ever:
1. Title and Short Details (Genre, Setting, etc.)
2. Exposition (includes general background info and building the mood)
3. Rising Action (this is where the plot essentially starts, when shit just starts to go down and something needs to be done about it).
[3.5: other things, like smaller climaxes, breaking point, subplots, stuff like that]
4. Climax (the turning point in the story, everything has been building up to this specific moment)
5. Falling action (Everything starts to die down in the aftermath of the climax. It doesn’t have to be happy, but the biggest moment is over).
6. Resolution (the conclusion of the story, everything returns to a new normal, whether that is happier or sadder than before)
It’s just a basic plot pyramid, but you can write one sentence in each and them build on or around that sentence. If you’re writing longer stories or want to change it up, then you can definitely add more components or play with the structure, but this is the most basic and best starting point.
Why did “be critical of your media” turn into “find all its flaws and hate it” why did people become allergic to FUN
Because people confuse “critical as in critical thinking” with “critical as in criticizing something,” so they think that “look for something bad, no matter how far-fetched” is what “being critical” means.
so executive dysfunction is when you cant do something because you cant make a decision or choose how you are going to do it i.e. you dont eat because you dont know what you want, you dont do a chore because you don’t know where to start, you don’t start a paper because you can’t pick a topic to write about, etc.
brain fog is what you guys get more often and it’s when you are trying to get something done but you just cant. it’s when you all the sudden just can’t focus, not because you’re distracted by something, but because you can’t seem to gather your thoughts enough to get started. like instead of thoughts, you just get white noise. these are different things. executive dysfunction usually comes along with anxiety but brain fog can come from things like depression, or be a sign of adhd or something as simple as literally just not getting enough vitamins or being dehydrated.
my favourite thing about tumblr is that they discontinued fan mail in 2015 but in 2018, three years later, they still haven’t edited two word out of this:
i wish this was me
See I accidentally sent fan mail instead of an ask last month. So not even Staff knows what features Tumblr does and doesn’t have.
Yknow I’m pretty sure in order to “remove” a feature they literally just delete the button that links you to it but don’t actually remove the capability of the site to perform the function (hence all the replies and reblogs from people saying they can send/receive fanmail etc) my theory is that the site is so rickety that the removal of any part of it could cause the whole thing to crash
a relic unearthed…
Blease… No
In reference to fanmail, when I first joined this site I sent one of my favorite artists one and they flipped 10 kinds of hell..
