deltarune really is like someone swung a monkey’s paw at undertale.
it’s about the monsters on the surface but it’s not a sequel
we get more elaborate combat but our choices have less impact overall
we see susie but not suzy
asriel is alive but It’s Not A Sequel
alphys is a teacher+undyne is a police officer but they don’t know each other
rg1 and rg2 are hanging out next to the lake but they’re not dating (openly at least)
asgore’s canonically your dad and he gives great hugs but he’s in a bad living situation
sans is there but papyrus isn’t
and we finally got a new game from toby but probably won’t see more deltarune content for at least another few years.
Okay so please forgive me for my horrible audio editing ability and Audacity skills, but I wanted to see if/where “Hopes and Dreams” from the original Undertale could fit into “Field of Hopes and Dreams” from Deltarune. It did, although I had to slow the tempo of the former for it to fit. Here you go!

It’s been years and I’m still not over how much of a masterpiece Undertale is. The soundtrack, the 3-dimensional characters, how many secrets and easter eggs there are.. All of them make me very nostalgic for some reason, even though I was already a young adult when I played it.
Been playing through Undertale for the first time on Switch recently and since it’s also spook month I had the idea for this dumb little parody animation of one of my favourite videos(x).Credit to the original artist, @brakken! Also up on Youtube.
