the fact that lights don’t start flickering ominously and short-circuiting whenever i’m upset is maximally unsexy and not at all excellent if you ask me
Seam’s theme has a very distinctly nostalgic vibe to me. It’s very reminiscent of my favorite childhood movies Labyrinth and The Neverending Story. I don’t know how to describe it, but it just has that air of mystery and wonder that only seems to be associated with great adventure in mystical realms beyond our own.
I also feel like Seam is a similar character to the wise figures that come across as a little bit obscure, yet their knowledge of the mysteries of the universe is vast and expansive. Characters with similar vibes to me would be the bookkeeper in Neverending Storyand perhaps the mysterious man from James and the Giant Peach.
Okay, I know there’s a lot of talk about cartomancy in regards to Jevil and Seam being the Jokers (black and red respectively) of the deck, but seriously pretty much all of the characters associated with a playing card line up personality-wise.
The diamond suit is associated with materialism and luxury. The Rudinns in the castle and King of Diamonds are fixated on their gold (even trading their beds for it), and the king even specifically asks the party to make sure his gold isn’t harmed at the end.
The heart suit is representative of emotions, love, and feelings. To spare the Hathy characters of the game, the main strategy is to flirt with them (which, of course, is an appeal to their emotions and flattery).
The clubs suit is a little harder to see, but Clover is the best example of it because it signifies passion and inspiration. How do you beat Clover? Specifically talk about her passions, like trees, boys, and sports.
Lastly, the spade suit signifies the tarot suit of Swords, and is associated with thoughts and communication. This one is difficult to see at first, but Lancer is a great example of this even at his young age. He wants to save his friends and doesn’t want his dad to get hurt either. So how does he accomplish this? Literally talks to every single resident Darkner and effectively persuades them to lock up the King.
Please feel free to add onto this or correct any errors, but I used this as a source for all of the information, and I wonder if by closely examining cartomancy it is possible to decipher even more characters, like the knight and queen (unless of course, they are related to chess instead). Also please note that cartomancy goes deeper than this, but this is based on the surface level information. Here’s another link for further reading.
when i was a kid, i thought shonen heroes kind of overdid the “friendship is important” thing, but now that i’ve
grown up i find myself tearing up and my heart grows three sizes
sometimes when my friends call me by pet names or just do
the smallest stuff
for me like printing things and like… I’m sorry I doubted you naruto you were right all along my friends ARE my heart
Just out of curiosity…how old do y’all headcanon Jevil and Seam to be in human years? I know they’re obviously older than a century in game, but still 🤔🤔
this detective pikachu stuff just made me realize that the clock is ticking on a live action undertale movie and it is absolutely going to look exactly like detective pikachu. all of the weirdly hairy cgi monsters. scarily realistic goat toriel. scarily realistic skeleton papyrus and sans. mettaton but with Transformers movie levels of moving parts and detail. it’s going to happen.
If you think I wouldn’t pay to see a hyperrealistic daffodil with a creepy face fight an 8 year old you’re wrong
Oof I have mixed feelings about this idea but imagine it in 3D, especially during the fight with Omega Flowey. I would shit my pantaloons.
I really want to either draw or write a short fanfiction, so if anyone has a prompt idea let me know! I’m mainly wanting to stick to Deltarune (Namely Seam & Jevil although open to other ideas) but I’m also willing to draw your OCs in my style for you too if you want.
